I received this book as a gift. Great easy reading, references ! I purchased two for gifts to fellow homeowners / friends that have done DIY work on their properties.

A resource like this is long overdue. It’s up-to-date in current usage and proves to be a one-stop resource for terms used in specific trades in our industry. A valuable addition to my library.

I've had no formal training in the construction trade consequently this is a great reference book for me. As an owner builder I have been using the 1980 addition of this book. This edition is concise, well-organized, easy-to-read, and some humor, (look up mistake), and less than 30 bucks a good value.
This is an excellent update of a book I originally received in 1976. The authors have updated it extensively and added all of the needed new information for associations, government & regulatory agencies and building codes. This should be an essential easy-to-read resource for anyone in the industry. Perhaps especially younger engineers & contractors needing a reference to get them up to speed with the terms used in our industry for 50+ years. I also like that it is soft cover and large format with whitespace for notes...much better than a small size hard cover in small print. Knowledge is expensive but this much in one volume is a bargain. Well done gentlemen!
